Hello and welcome,
My name is Isabella (she/they). I’m the founder of SIMUL✺ Creative Arts Therapy and currently work privately in various locations across Naarm (Melbourne) Australia . I hold professional membership with ANZACATA as a Masters qualified & registered Creative Arts Therapist.
I am passionate about placing lived experience at the core of my practice and centering the voices of those I work alongside. I support people in building their capacity, personal autonomy, and value all forms of expression. My space is LGBTIAQ+ friendly, neurodivergent affirming, and accepting of all Peoples. I approach therapy with a focus on trauma-responsive care, centering the person, and emphasising connectedness to foster trusting therapeutic relationships.
I work with children, adolescents and adults, focusing on emotional regulation, understanding social barriers, fostering self-compassion, and discovering their voice through Creative Arts Therapy.
I am committed to supporting the whole person through an understanding of Polyvagal Theory and Intersectionality, using various modalities such as creative writing, movement, visual arts, expressive dance, and presence.
I am dedicated to fostering honest, genuine therapeutic relationships and to continuous learning. I acknowledge that therapy can be challenging and approach it with empathy, compassion, openness, playfulness, positivity, and inclusion.
